AHC Noorderlicht is the very latest Amsterdam Hockey Club. A hockey club created by 20 very involved parents whose children were all on waiting lists. Thanks to the warm cooperation with the Municipality of Amsterdam, KNHB and our 2 fantastic and very professional trainers, we have managed to ensure that these 20 children have received weekly hockey training since September 2019.
The continued involvement with all these parties has meant that we have met all requirements of the KNHB since January 2020 and we are now an aspirant member. AHC Noorderlicht is a hockey club with a very open and committed character. We are closely involved with our members, but also with the parents of the members.
As an association, we would also like to have a broad connection with the neighborhood, namely Amsterdam Noord. Mid 2021, the Municipality of Amsterdam has converted the current Sports Park 'De Weeren' into a full-fledged hockey and (urban) sports park with two official hockey fields available to us there per September-October 2021. AHC Noorderlicht, will form the heart of all sports and neighborhood activities on and around the sports park.
AHC Noorderlicht is a sports club where everyone is welcome! With our sports club, we want to create a permanent place in the neighborhood where everyone can come together to exercise, meet, help and develop.
That is why AHC Noorderlicht will also collaborate with the Sports Council of the Noord District to really shape that involvement with the neighborhood!
